Janet West-Sellars’ debut novel, Quiet As It’s Kept, is a humorous drama about James Alexander Scott, affectionately known as “Pop-pop” by his children, family and friends. Quiet As It’s Kept, unravels the discovery of Pop-Pop’s secrets and the untold dislike that each of his children felt for him. Each child has something to bring to the story, and you can best believe that scandal is involved. The characters remind you of, possibly, someone you know or have encountered and hit close to home in reality. Quiet As It’s Kept is an easy and joyous read. The book will have you laughing and simply saying “hmph” as you explore the true to life escapades that lie in between the pages. It will also have the reader wanting more from this new and fresh author. |
