Gerald P. Simmons Jr. is the author of The GPS Success Guide – What’s Holding You Back From Your Greatness? The PDF/E-Book appears to be an inspirational guide on how to be successful.
As a reviewer and editor, I found it very hard to get through the pages of this guide, as it would appear that the book was not edited and led to some confusion. The author does start with GPS innuendos and does follow through the book with them; however, the confusion came when sports references were added. The information seemed to be all over the place.
The intro to the book was excessive with dedications and congratulations. Mr. Simmons used several inspirational poems and saying from others. I would have liked to see his own words, which would have made this book completely his.
I do see where the author was going with this guide. The underlying meaning of this guide is about affirming yourself in the positive in order to achieve success. I liked how at the end of each chapter Mr. Simmons adds a notes section so that its reader can follow his or her progress. I also liked the turn-by-turn navigation that the author gave but I thought having it at the beginning of each chapter was a bit excessive.
I have no doubt that with the proper editing and proper publishing; The GPS Success Guide can be a number one seller! |
